!Dela dap started in 2002 as a project idea in the studio of the prague born producer Stani Vana than developed first into a trio later into a seven member live ensemble. By now !Dela Dap turns more and more into a creativity platform for Gypsy rooted, central-european world sound.
Musical guests are among others the Russian „gipsy queen“ Leonsia Erdenko and her trio known from her work with the #1 russian gypsy group Loyko. Also the brillant accordionist Martin Lubenov from Bulgaria did contribute some excellent passages as did the Czech rooted producer and saxophonist Philip Noha (NOHA, Frank Pop Ensemble) from Cologne who already worked with !Dela Dap when remixing the first single „Amaro Shavo“. Another very unique mixture will result from the performance of singer Kiki Sauer of the Berlin group „17 Hippies“ for one of the new !Dela Dap album tracks.
The first single release from the new album, titled „Dela Paji“ will have it’s live premiere at a concert at the Viennese ORF Radiokulturhaus on December 19th.. This concert will be the conclusion of a very successful and very exciting live season 2005 and at the same time it’s already the prelude for the „Dela Paji Tour 2006“ to which Stani Vana’s crew is already looking forward impatiently. This the more since also the live ensemble has got an even more diversified spectrum.
For example there are now two Roma singers on stage. Eva Banyakova from Bratislava and Simona Muckova will elicit new facetts from both, the new and the well known songs of !DelaDap.
The Hungarian drummer Endre Hoffmann, the Slovak violin-whizkid Stefan „Pizzur“ Banyak and the Serbian guitar player Aleksander Stoic built the proven core-team who did accompany Stani Vana already during the last 18 month touring from the Iberian peninsula to the Ural. For the coming up season also the Slovak double-bass player Dezider „Dezo“ Rigo will take care of the tight sound fundament.
From January 2006 on !Dela Dap will even more broaden it’s basis for an exciting exchange between diverse musicians by starting a monthly „!DelaDap-CLUB“ at the Viennese venue „OST“. When guest musicians and DJs will combine their skills there they will defenitely newly define the term „Gypsy-fest“. News about the „!DelaDap-CLUB shortly on www.deladap.com.
